The Flourish Project’s Mindfulness Meditation Studio helps learning meditation easy and goal oriented. Numerous peer-reviewed scientific studies have demonstrated the positive benefits of meditation including a reduction in stress, anxiety and depression, cholesterol levels, pain and inflammation. While positive effects of meditation include increased resilience, learning, creativity, productivity and longevity. Many people think that meditation is a practice that involves emptying your mind of thoughts. Sadly this myth often leaves people feeling like ‘bad’ meditators while others don’t give it a go and miss out on the immense benefits of meditation. Mindfulness meditation is not about emptying the mind but rather developing new ways of relating to your thoughts and improving your mental fitness. At The Flourish Project we want you to be able to experience mindfulness meditation and improve your mental fitness in a way that is relatable.
We have designed our urban mindfulness studio to allow for a premier meditation experience as we offer a multi- sensory studio that features ergonomically designed seating that promotes comfort and precise posture, soothing nature soundscapes, diffused essential oils to promote calm and relaxation and a walls of calming greenery and colour in sync with the sound scape to set the mood and put your mind at ease. Our studio features the latest in wearable technology, Muse 2 ™ which uses 7 finely calibrated sensors – 2 on the forehead, 2 behind the ears plus 3 reference sensors to detect, measure and discover your mind-body connection in a unique way through accurate real time feedback on your brain activity, heart rate, breathing and body movements to help to give you a deeper, holistic and empowering meditation experience. Muse is the first brain fitness tool in the world that gives you accurate, real-time feedback on what’s happening in your brain while you meditate to help guide your meditation practice and encourage you to build a regular practice.
After each meditation session, you will receive a post session report that shows you how you did through a series of graphs and charts highlighting how your brain, heart, breath, and body did from moment to moment which we discuss and review with you. You can follow your progress over time and learn new things about your own mind, heart, breath, and body to help keep you motivated and reaping the benefits. After class we encourage people to connect with other Flourishers over a complimentary probiotic coconut coffee or calming tea.
